I first met this hard-working couple at a Sunday market at the Royal Hawaiian Center. And later in the week, we met them again at another market in Waikiki. They make artisanal hand-made soap.
I discovered both Pricilla and Josh met in South Texas before moving to Hawaii. Together they started the Hilo Soap Company. Their fragrant and colorful soaps are a work of art. You can appreciate their creativity through their Instagram.
We were so taken by their work that we bought several. A dramatic change from my usual pure white Dove bars. Now, using their soap reminds us of Hawaii. In Texas, I haven’t frequented farmer’s markets. Perhaps we are in a different mindset when on vacation. However, somehow, the food and crafts in Hawaii better suit our tastes.
