After Hudson Yards, our group of high school buddies continued to grow as we socialized at the hotel. A short walk away was the Redeye Grill — the venue for our high school reunion.
We arrived early, surveyed the neatly arranged hors d’oeuvres, and settled down for a night of socializing. Before the crowds, I captured this image with the big Fuji GFX 50S II. Then I put it away. For the rest of the night, I was going light with the Fuji X100V.
Ultimately, we reunited with nine out of a dozen closest friends. Not bad, considering it was 40 years later and scattered throughout the country. We also met others beyond our immediate friend group. Some were people I was hoping to meet. With others, it was a vague recollection.
