Sometimes, I seem to wake up earlier on vacation than for work. On the second morning of the San Antonio trip, I caught the warm rays of the morning sun.
The view from my hotel room wasn’t very inspiring — not much of a skyline with low-slung character-less buildings in the foreground. And San Antonio itself doesn’t have much of a skyline anyway. However, a golden reflection off the building was visually interesting — even for a parking garage. The five sun-lit slivers on a shadowy structure were another visual plus.
My photos are usually straightforward, with perhaps a commercial feel. This one looks somewhat artistic to me, only because it’s an un-obvious image that requires some exploring. I didn’t lift the shadows to retain some of its mystery, opting to keep much of the street details from view. I liked the placement of the car, which I brightened.
