Industrial Beauty, Pearl District – San Antonio, Texas

After dinner at La Gloria, we walked the Pearl District, a trendy and bustling redevelopment just north of downtown San Antonio. It’s one of my favorites in the city and the kind of place Austin doesn’t have. Built on a former brewery, even the new buildings follow an industrial aesthetic.

The Pearl seems to be in a steady expansion — not growing explosively like Austin — but I see something new in every visit. This sitting area, surrounded by industrial goodness, is something I appreciate.

This image was a quick walk-by shot, capturing the scene while trying to keep up with the family. Is this an office space, a future cafe? Not sure. I do, however, love its industrial beauty.
