We’re back in Austin, my hometown. My wife and I visited South Congress Avenue, also known as SoCo, in the middle of October. SoCo is a trendy area south of downtown, and from the looks of it, it continues to grow and move upscale.
While the west side of the street remains untouched, several two to three-story structures have been completed on the east side of South Congress Avenue. They are noticeably fancier, contrasting with the eclectic historic feel on the other side.
We explored the alleys and courtyards of the new development and passed Aba, a Mediterranean restaurant. The detailing was lush, comfortable, and photogenic. I snapped some photos with the compact and low-key Fujifilm X100V.
