It’s the day before Christmas, and I thought it a perfect time to kick off the mini-series of holiday decorations. First, this elaborate macaron-created work of art at the Fairmont Hotel. Macarons are round French butter-creamed filled cookies available in different flavors.
The sign indicates that the nutcrackers were designed and constructed by the Fairmont Austin pastry team. Consisting of:
500+ Hours of Labor
20,000+ Macarons
50lbs+ Almond Flour
6000+ Egg Whites
In addition to the year-round tree decorations I featured yesterday, we have the Christmas variety on display. You can see the trees in relation to the macaron nutcracker in the lobby.
