As seen the street of lower Manhattan, I found an abandoned caricature. It’s always fun to imagine stories behind unexpected found objects. Did the subject reject the drawing? Or was it dropped by mistake? I don’t know the person, of course. But the caricature seems unobjectionable, which isn’t always the case for this art style.
This image is a quick capture made with the Fujifilm X100V. Nothing special, I figured. But looking at it in my photo library, I grew to appreciate it, especially when post-processed in a contrasty black and white.
The cobblestones, asphalt, along with bits of litter make the perfect backdrop for this drawing. It has an authentic New York kind of feel.
