After a bit of daytime street photography in Time Square, it was off to the subway for another action-packed day of image-making. However, it was a partial day since I was returning to Austin that early evening.
This picture comes to mind when I think of quintessential street photography in New York City, someone climbing up from a subway station. I realize it’s not original, but still worthwhile to have in the library.
This image came out exactly as I hoped, shooting just two frames. It was aligned precisely, and a single person — optimally positioned. That’s when you know the street photography gods are on your side.
