I was a little critical of the French TGV train I took from Paris to Basil, Switzerland. They looked old with a worn and faded front. The regional Swiss train was better from Basil to Zurich. However, the front of the train was still dirtier than expected.
I compared my European train experience to the ones in Japan and found them lacking. However, these two trains I saw in Zurich are more of what I expected from the efficient and orderly Swiss. Look how clean and modern they look.
This was an observation I made while in the station, and while I did not ride either train, it did give me hope for my next train ride to a small Swiss city.
