Cafe Life – Telluride, Colorado

Like many upscale communities, Telluride has its share of outdoor cafes. While the cafe is on the street, which doesn’t seem very attractive, the town is surrounded by a spectacular view. I’ll certainly take this setting over the streets of New York City. I’m sure it’s cleaner and safer too.

What I really enjoy, however, is the dog’s interaction with the woman. It makes for a nice slice-of-life street photograph.

I shot this photograph with the 51MP Fujifilm GFX 50R at a 40mm equivalent focal length. The benefit of a high resolution is its croppability. As a test, I re-framed the street scene and omitted the cafe in post. The resulting image was still a more than adequate 20MP. It’s like having a zoom lens using a fixed lens prime.
