We took a different route after dinner to get back to the hotel. Singapore is a remarkably safe country, where you can walk around at night with no concerns. We ended up near Boat Quay and the Singapore River.
I’ve been to Singapore three times before and had a good idea of the neighborhood. Coupled with the iPhone, I navigated deftly back to our hotel. As we got to the river and walked northeast, I saw our hotel lit up in the distance. It was, however, the foreground bridge that attracted my immediate attention.
The bright red glow was hard to miss and modernized an old bridge, making it look almost avant-garde. The color contrasted nicely against the fading blue hour.
