How can I not take a picture of a cute kid and his father, or is it his older brother? Hard to tell. I shot this at 70mm, the lens’s longest focal length. It allowed me to compress the foreground people and the background architecture. I’ve shown glimpses of the gold-domed Capitol before, but it’s beginning to become more prominent. Future posts will feature it even more.
However, it’s not the background architecture that ultimately matters in this picture; it’s the people. I love the father’s expression, and what about those tiny kids’ hands floating above the handlebars? So cute.
One of the strengths of the Sony is its fast focus, and it didn’t let me down here. Even the diminutive Sony A7C II is perky with the 24-70mm f2.8 II GM, which balances surprisingly well with the optional grip.
