I took this photo about 40 minutes before this one, at peak blue hour, in Kamakura, Japan. This city, about an hour south of Tokyo, is known for temples and I visited 3 that day, back in December of 2014.
Hasedera had a special night viewing during the fall color, two years ago. This area near the pond is the most spectacular with the beautiful gardens and reflections. There were a lot of photographers but I managed to tuck myself along the side to shoot this.
I used the Pentax Q7 with the Pentax 08 wide-angle zoom, my most compact HDR setup. Created by blending three photographs, shot on tripod. Click on the photo to see a larger version, with all the details.
Part of my Technicolor Collection, where I celebrate HDR photography.
