Though I’ve gone to the San Francisco Bay Area, a number of times in recent years, it’s been a while since I flew into the San Jose Airport. The Flying Bus, dropped me off at the newer Terminal B, which looked wonderfully airy as I was waking up from my early morning flight. After getting up at 4:30am, I was able to squeeze a couple of hours of bonus sleep on the flight from Austin.
Seeing modern architecture and the possibility of dramatic leading lines always makes me gravitate towards wide-angle lenses. I had the compact and travel friendly Olympus 9-18mm on my Olympus OM-D E-M5 Mark II. I shot a few as I made my way towards the exit, stopping several times along the way. Sensing a chance for some foreground interest, I found this couple analyzing the arrivals and departure listings.
I also noticed a few oddities. A child’s play area with a trio of robots. Another free-standing robot giving directions. Yes, I was in the heart of Silicon Valley and things were bit different.
