It’s easy to take things for granted in this modern push-button world and worthwhile to give thanks for all that we have, if only for a day. I’m certainly lucky, with a great family and friends, near and far.
Hard to believe it’s been over six months since I had my gallbladder surgery. And thanks to modern technology, I’m doing well. A doctor friend told me that, just a hundred years ago, I would have died if I had this condition.
It’s become a tradition to feature food on my Thanksgiving post. Today’s is from a place called Zippy’s, which I visited with my family this summer. The Zip Pac includes Teriyaki Beef, Spam, Fried Mahimahi fish, and Fried Chicken, on rice. It’s an odd combination of Hawaiian and Japanese comfort food. It was surprisingly good and probably not any worse, health wise, than barbecue from Texas.
For my visitors from the United States, have a great Thanksgiving. For my international audience, a big thank you for continuing to visit my blog.
