Chaipoint, Kempegowda Airport – Bangalore, India

As you can see, I made it back to India after a four and half hour flight from Singapore. As I recall, I arrived around midnight but had a 6am flight out of Bangalore to go back home. I stayed overnight at a hotel close by.

I had one last mission left before going home. My wife requested some Indian tea, Chai, as a gift. I found Chaipoint right at the airport that sold tea in convenient airtight packaging. I bought two different flavors. Incredibly, they are open 24 hours a day. In fact, I learned that the entire airport never sleeps. There are a lot of travelers that flow through the Bangalore Kempegowda Airport.

I like the store’s tag line, India Runs on Chai. Oddly, I don’t drink tea or coffee, though, if I had to choose, I prefer tea. My beverage of choice, plain water, especially now since I’ve mostly given up soft drinks and alcohol. I do splurge and have plain carbonated water, however. That’s now my fancy drink of choice.
