What can be more quintessentially suburban than a Honda Odyssey parked on a leafy street? Except this a rather shadowy and even abstract take on the scene. I’m getting extreme today with this moody, super-contrasty picture made with the Panasonic GM1. It has a passing resemblance — at least in feel — to this photo from over a week ago.
I exposed it so that I wouldn’t blow out the details in the clouds. Then I lifted the shows somewhat, but not too much. I liked the air of mystery. Of course, I used a RAW file for maximum malleability. Then pushed the GM1 for this monochromatic look.
The sunlight through the trees it real and not simulated via the JPEG Sunshine effect — I was facing west close to sundown.
