When I was documenting Rainey Street during the initial pandemic lockdown in March, I popped into a food truck park. One of two on Rainey Street — this is the larger one. Not surprisingly, most of the trucks were closed. I think two were open out of about ten.
This couple was the only one around.
I shot a few handheld with the Fuji GFX 50R, taking advantage of some leading lines pointing to a pizza truck.
This last photo is from Rainey Street, framed similarly to all the bar portraits that I just finished. You can tell this spot is underutilized and is ripe for development. There have been plans for a 9-story mixed-use structure for a few years. We will see if it ever gets built.
