No visit to Disneyland will be complete without going to the Haunted Mansion. We were in New Orleans Square already, and though the line was long — as expected — we waited. It was decked out special for the holidays. I later found out the ride and interior sets were changed too, with holiday theming.
You can see a small part of the line in the photo above. The people snake through a labyrinth of well-engineered crowd control. Overall, Disney does a masterful job at controlling the flow and keeping things moving. If you really want to go on a ride, there are a limited number of FastPasses per day to get priority access.
I appreciated the architectural details as well as the seasonal decorations. You can see closeups below. I also challenged myself to make pictures with a minimum of people. Not an easy thing to do. The ride was fun. But I prefer the standard one without the holiday theme.
