The View from Smuggler’s Run – Anaheim, California

This is the reverse view from this photo that I posted several days ago. You can tell it’s just as crowded looking out from this angle. I was about halfway through the hour and a half long line for Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run. It’s the premiere motion ride in the new Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge.

Once you are in this land, you’re completely immersed in all things Star Wars. You don’t see the rest of Disneyland. The spaceship atop the building is the Sienar-Chall Utilipede Transport — I had to look this up. I don’t remember if this kind of ship was ever in the Star Wars movies. Or perhaps it was a backstory invented for this place.

With so much waiting, I passed the time taking pictures. What else would I do? Because of the extra-long line, we got diverted through the overflow section, which looked sparsely decorated. But once we hit the main waiting areas, I at least had vistas like this to experience and photograph.
