Motion Blurred Mark Twain – Anaheim, California

This may look like a jumble of blurred motion, and yes, it is. However, I can assure you that it’s also tack sharp. Take a look at the lamp posts and the fence. At 1/2 second shutter speed, the foreground people and the background boat are all in motion.

You can tell that it’s now peak blue hour in New Orleans Square. The Riverboat made it on the blog about three weeks ago. It’s called the Mark Twain, as I found out. An authentic reproduction of such boats that ferried people along the Mississippi River.

Multiple planes of movement make for a dreamy image and, I suppose, somewhat different. And, the warm man-made lights look fantastic contrasting against the deep blue.
