After we got to the castle, which is roughly in the center of Disneyland, we turned left. Going past Frontierland, we arrived in New Orleans Square. Disneyland is composed of multiple different lands.
Stuff to the left apes “historic” U.S. History. To the right is Tomorrowland, which is a retro-version of the future. We’ve been to these places many times. Our ultimate destination was something completely new, on the outer edge. But I’ll talk about that in upcoming posts.
For today, we have this substantial paddle wheeler as viewed from Disney-fied New Orleans. It’s an idealized world, of course. But, in some ways, it beats the real thing. Here’s a picture of the Natchez on the Mississippi in the real New Orleans. The scale is certainly larger but not nearly as photogenic.
