We went on many rides at Disneyland and California Adventure, including the newest from Star Wars. However, I think Radiator Springs Racers might have been our favorite.

Cars Land surrounds the ride, with it’s neon architecture, and scenic Arizona-like landscape. The ride starts with a tour through the mountains and culminates with a thrilling race. Something about experiencing real (engineered) scenery in the open air beats the virtual motion-simulator-type rides.

This is the official starting line, which happens shortly after boarding the car. It starts gently and picks up in velocity. Not scary like a rollercoaster, but with enough movement to get the heart pumping.
