Love is the Answer – Austin, Texas

I’m wrapping up my series from The Domain with this street photograph. I took this on Rock Rose Avenue, which is the main nightlife area of the shopping mall. This quote, appropriated from John Lennon, appears to be from a Day Spa.

This couple isn’t holding hands, and they don’t seem particularly couple-like. However, juxtaposed with the quote, it might reinforce a stronger (possibly non-existent) relationship. It’s a technique in street photography to pair people’s actions with the background.

In all honesty, I just noticed this couple and snapped the picture. I made sure the background was relatively well composed. However, I didn’t see the quote. It’s a happy accident that elevated this snapshot to something a bit more worthwhile.
