Casualty of the Pandemic? I hope not. It’s no secret that the year-and-a-half-long pandemic has been tough on small businesses, at least in the United States. Many restaurants have closed down.
I was at an event last week, just north of the University of Texas campus. It’s been over a year since I’ve been in the area. Trudy’s, a well-known Tex-Mex restaurant, appeared to be shut down. There is some hope, however. The signage indicates that they are re-opening soon. Though I have no idea when the sign was put up.
Trudy’s was the first Tex-Mex restaurant that I ever visited. That was over 30-year-ago when I was first scouting Austin as a possible place to live.
