I’m back in Los Angeles for the remaining coverage from my December 2019 trip. We went to two museums in LA. Here are the posts from the Natural History Museum. The next day, we went to The Getty Center. A spectacular art museum in the hills high above the city.
The scale of the Getty Center is unbelievable. I suppose that’s what you get when you have one of the richest men in the world, J. Paul Getty, paying for the place. I’ll be featuring some spectacular architecture in this series.
This train takes visitors from the parking garage, at the base of the hill, to the museum. It’s an impressive facility, and I was totally blown away that they had their own transportation system — you don’t usually see that at a museum. Of course, The Getty Center is unlike any other art museum I’ve ever visited.
