For this second installment of a three-part mini-series, we see another slice of the Getty Center gardens. In an unlikely event that I had a mansion with extensive grounds. This is the kind of landscaping that I want.
There is obviously a lot of structure that brings a certain level of formality. However, it’s arranged in a modern, casual way. The juxtaposition of hard and soft, formal and informal, really appeals to me.
Notice that the alley of trees here matches the design that I talked about a couple of weeks ago. That was on the other side of the complex. The buildings here are the same ones I showed in this post. With today’s photo, you have the benefit of seeing the plantings up close.
