Some motorcycles transcend their transportation origins and turn into rolling works of art. This is one such bike.
For my second image in this mini-series, I spotted one of the most beautiful motorcycles of this year’s ROT Rally. Like many works of art, it may not be my cup of tea. However, I can appreciate what makes it unique. No doubt the rider must have immense pride in his vehicle.
I managed to capture a sharp image of the bike at 1/125 of a second shutter, with a slight bit of motion blur on the giant front wheel. I probably panned the camera slightly to maintain the sharpness on the subject. The f2 aperture nicely separated the foreground subject from the 6th Street background.

The spirit of George Barris smiles down upon this, while at the same time concealing a bit of envy.
I have to admit I looked up George Barris. After seeing his famous customizations, I’m sure he would indeed like this bike.
