Happy New Year!
I hope your 2022 turns out to be as festive and bright as this star at the Bellagio in Las Vegas.
I’m sure 2021 didn’t go as planned for most people. Still mired in this stubborn pandemic that knocks over the apple cart every time we get back on track. I hope y’all made the best of it. I’m optimistic in 2022, we’ll collectively shake off this dreaded situation.
Looking back on the year, I feel lucky with the way things went. Everyone in the family is healthy. We’ve had successful life events where my sons have graduated from college and high school. Now they are more independent. The older one started his first job, and the younger one is a freshman in college.
As empty-nesters, we’ve traveled more than usual, despite COVID. We just happen to time things fortuitously. Going on trips during the lulls between the different variants. Most recently, we took a quick trip to Las Vegas, pre-Christmas. Beyond the short visual sampler of Las Vegas color, I’ll do a lengthier series later in the year. Including the other cities that I visited.
Gear wise, it was quiet for 11 months. I merely bought lenses to adapt to the Fuji GFX 50R and a telephoto 55-200mm for the Fuji X-E3. Then it all changed in December when I purchased two new cameras. Totally unexpected. But working out great so far. I think I’m all set with the cameras going in 2022 and beyond. But, life can be unpredictable.
May you have a happy, healthy, and creative 2022.
