Missouri from Arizona – Pearl Harbor, Hawaii

I captured this image just as I arrived at the Arizona Memorial. We see the passengers who disembarked from the boat shuffling onto the memorial structure.

While the memorial doesn’t float. It appears to do so, completely surrounded by water. Below you see the rusted outline of the USS Arizona. The Arizona and other battleships were lined up on battleship row back on December 7th.

From this vantage point, we can also see the USS Missouri, dead-center, framed through the opening. The masked visitors document a moment in time — the pandemic, of course — with the photograph taken in late July 2021.
