Leaving the Arizona Memorial - Pearl Harbor, Hawaii

Leaving the Arizona Memorial – Pearl Harbor, Hawaii

I’m celebrating the last Arizona Memorial post in color, muted as it is. Still, it’s more colorful than the 6 previous black and whites. From this vantage point, you can see the entire memorial, the floating dock, and the ramp. All pieces you’ve seen in sections over the last several days.

This is from the back of the boat. Out of luck and a little planning, I was able to sit in the optimal boat positions to capture the memorial. Towards the front on the right side on the way there. And in the back, as we left.

There was a US Flag at the rear of the boat. I was trying to include that small flag and the memorial in the same frame. Alas, my position and the boat’s trajectory didn’t work out. Ideally, sitting in the rear right corner might have done the trick. Still, I’m satisfied with the visual coverage I captured.
