I’m finally wrapping my Hawaii coverage with this post. While yet another sunset photograph, I made this two days after my beach pictures. I was at the Honolulu Airport preparing to go home. This was the last sunset from my 2021 Hawaii trip. And, in fact, it was the last photo I made in Hawaii.
It doesn’t look like much, but this is the central airport building. While Honolulu is a fantastic destination, the airport is dated. Uniquely, it has open-air corridors. It’s the only airport where I’ve seen this feature.
The modest zoom of the Fujifilm 15-45mm, giving a 22.5mm to 67.5mm equivalent view, worked effectively for most of the trip. It was tough as the zoo, which I talked about. Though it did challenge me to make a unique composition.
Today’s photo is one more example where I desired more telephoto reach. I zoomed to the maximum and even cropped it to get this composition. Ideally, I would have gotten in even closer. Isolating tower against the pastel clouds. No big deal. You live with what you have.
