Nod to the Past, Denver Airport – Denver, Colorado

We all take it for granted. However, it’s marvelous that we got on a plane in Honolulu, and 8 hours later, we’re in Denver. The pilots were hard at work overnight as we dozed off. As an unexpected bonus, we got a free dinner even in coach. It’s been a long time since we’ve been served a hot meal on an airplane.

The Denver airport was large and modern. Everything that the Honolulu airport wasn’t. I enjoy seeing new airports. I’ve been here once, maybe 20 years ago but forgot what it was like.

Passing through the food court area awarded me this beautifully restored bi-plane. I stood there with a purposely set slow shutter speed. With image stabilization, I got a sharp rendering of the plane but a pleasant motion blur of passengers.
