I headed north after my Rainey Street/Hotel Van Zandt South By experience, slowly making my way back to the car. This glowing structure attracted my attention — always up for unique event architecture and a festive scene. That’s the thing with SXSW. You never know what you’ll run into.
I never heard of Ibble. Hence the big promotion, I suppose. Yet another social media company specializing in events, video threads, audio, and text posts. I have no idea how they differ from the other platforms. Though surely, I’m not their target demographic. They were, however, open to non-badge holders. Unlike CNN+, that’s the way you build awareness.
I busted out my big camera for this one. Shot at 1/8 of a second and underexposed 1 stop. The glowing cubes, more dramatic in monochrome, seemed futuristic to me. It had a hint of an overpopulated, dystopian mega-city you see in Sci-Fi shows. Though I’m sure, Ibble wasn’t going for that vibe. To their credit, it did attract attention.
