In yesterday’s post, I featured remarkable aerial views of New York City as we approached LaGuardia Airport. I sat by the aisle and shot over the sleeping passenger to make those shots. I realized the passenger was also quite photogenic and had to capture the scene.
What do I like? The contrast between light and shadow. And how the person’s curves echo the simple curves of the window — one of those found opportunities.
The odds are that I’ll never meet the person again, and he’ll never see this photograph either. Enough detail makes it compelling but not enough to identify the person — preserved anonymity and photographic documentation.
