Jazmin, Drink and Click Portrait – Austin, Texas

I met Jazmin for the first time at this most recent Drink and Click held at the beginning of November. I opted to return to the restaurant — where I shot Danielle — to get away from the crowds.

We tried a couple of spots to get away from the growing restaurant crowd — this table worked the best. Using the drink as a prop, we experimented with different poses.

I caught Jazmin looking up and liked the pose, matching the moody environment cast by the glowing string lights. We shot at a comparably slow 1/30 of a second, requiring a leisurely shooting pace. Some modes are frenetic and can’t slow down. Luckily this wasn’t the case with Jazmin.
