One of the more creative and visual attractions at Dolby’s SXSW 2023 exhibit was this room of LED screens and mirrors. The cube-like space was open on one side, with most sides either emitting or reflecting light. Unfortunately, my 24mm equivalent wasn’t wide enough to capture the entire room, so I covered the left side. A super-wide-angle or fisheye would’ve been interesting.
The black monolith-like podium with #Dolby is a control panel where users can choose different scenes — and there were many. The following are a few of the ones I saw.
I didn’t spend time experiencing the room. But, like often is the case, I enjoy documenting it even more — photography first. Later, I captured people reacting to the room, which I might include in a subsequent post. Dolby is known for surround sound, but I call this surround art.
