I’m wrapping up the Mueller development mini-series with an abstract blue wall. I talked yesterday about the beautiful organic texture in the central pedestrian walkway. Today, something on the opposite spectrum — minimal, modern, and commercial — is a lobby of an office building in the neighborhood.
In the first picture, I used Tony, my photo walk partner, in a silhouette contrasting with the blue wall. He usually uses a dedicated camera but was shooting with his smartphone then.
Here’s my attempt at a blue abstraction. The yellow color at the far end moves from near to far, creating an animated art wall.
With the successful late-night test of the Fujifilm 16-80mm lens, I was confident in bringing it on my trip to Europe. I’m starting the trip coverage to Paris and Switzerland tomorrow, and I only brought one camera and one lens — a remarkably liberating experience. I can’t remember the last time I traveled that light.
