I feature some enhanced drama in my second interior architecture image from the Louvre. Staircases are always an opportunity for creative design, and I used a photographic technique for more visual interest.
Taking advantage of the excellent in-lens image stabilization of the Fujifilm 16-80mm f4, I shot this at 1/2 of a second handheld, allowing me to create a motion blur of visitors walking up the stairs. The slight blurring effect adds dynamism and that extra pop.
In addition to the symmetrical, wide staircase, the abundance of arches and three elliptical skylights creates a one-of-a-kind space. Ancient Greek sculpture ties us to history, but I’ll prefer unique architecture anytime as my artistic choice for human creativity.
