With enough architectural coverage of the Musée d’Orsay, I’m moving on to some noteworthy paintings.
Vincent van Gogh is a well-known late 19th-century Dutch artist who worked in the Post-Impressionistic style. I read that the Orsay has twenty-seven of the master’s works, many in rooms 71 and 72. That’s where I found this famous self-portrait. Think of it as a selfie from 1889.
I didn’t just want to snap a picture of the art. The myriads of smartphone-wielding tourists made for an easy idea. Nothing earth-shatteringly original. But, something different nevertheless.
