I snapped restaurant scenes from the street as I shot through the windows on Guadalupe Street, known as The Drag, around the University of Texas. Both establishments are designated as “Fast Casual,” a class of eatery above fast food but below sit-down restaurants. It’s my favorite kind of place. They usually offer higher-quality and healthier options at a more affordable price without the headache of a “server.”
First up is Chipotle, which is known for its burritos and bowls and has an Americanized Mexican theme. I eat at one a few times a week, though not at this location. Loaded up with chicken, vegetables, beans, and a little rice, my bowl appears to be a healthy concoction.
I’m shooting directly into a Sweetgreen, which appears to have salads, bowls, and other healthy options—I’ve never eaten at one. Though maybe I should. This is the second Sweetgreen I’ve featured on the blog within the last month. I showed off a nice glow from the downtown location.
