Timeless Capitol – Havana, Cuba

This, the third and last of the “timeless” mini-series, is my favorite. Everything I can see points to a historical view of this place, including the cars and architecture. Looking carefully, the only thing that may give it away is the modern-looking street lights.

Still, I think this looks pretty good and can easily pass for a photo taken decades earlier than 2024. The Capitol looks clean and refreshed, which may not have been the case in the early 1960s. But, to the layperson, it appears to be a reasonable facsimile of the olden days.

Of course, I shot this with a very modern Sony camera, the A7C II and the 24-70mm lens. But the applied 1960s-era Kodachrome look helps. The cars all look old (classic), and the architecture seems timeless.
