Graphic Red, Lululemon – New York, New York

My wife and I went into a Lululemon on 5th Avenue, and they were celebrating the US Open Tennis Championships going on at that time. They even had a game set up on the second-floor balcony. I noticed some very graphic red tennis outfits and a matching staircase. It was great for a visual pop.

The store was sufficiently bright inside that the Camp Snap took fantastic pictures. As I mentioned yesterday, I’ve found a way to soften the overly sharp digital look this camera produces. I turned off all sharpening and greatly reduced the Clarity and Structure. To give it a more filmic look, I increased the saturation and added a grain effect. That’s the process I used in these pictures and the two previous posts, where I used the Camp Snap. Under the right conditions, the pictures can come out surprisingly good. Certainly more than what you will expect from a $69 camera.

I mentioned that I’ve been covering more recent events on my Substack. Back in August 2025, I shot this picture on World Photography Day. Take a look at it. I’m sure you will be surprised.

I also featured four great scenes from New York City shot with the Camp Snap under great lighting, during the day. Most people won’t believe this quality is possible with the camera.

In tomorrow’s post, I’m going to switch to a different, modest camera. However, I might return and do other mini-series of Camp Snap pictures as the New York City coverage continues.

Subscribe to my Substack to see the most recent content. I already covered NYC a year ago. See what I’m playing with now.
