I’m quite excited that the Harry Ransom Center, on the University of Texas campus, is doing a major exhibit on Elliott Erwitt, one of my favorite photographers. I was there today, for a quick look. Today, being Museum Day, the place was entirely too crowded. I’ll need to go back again, several times, to really take in the details. Luckily the exhibit started only a month ago and is on until January 1, 2017. Highly recommended and free.
I captured these University of Texas coeds using the Ricoh GR, a compact camera with a big sensor and good image quality. I shoot RAW + JPEG but rarely use the RAWs. I really don’t like the default RAW color. This one worked well though, perhaps the balanced gallery lighting helped with the color rendition.

Fitting shot, looks like something Erwitt himself might have taken. Hope you took in some of the images and not just the Coeds. π I’m looking forward to getting to the museum soon while his collection is on display.
Yup. In this case, I actually found the photography more interesting. I’m definitely going back again, and even considering getting the exhibit book.
I agree. The exhibit will deserves a few visits to properly review and appreciate.
