Hokoku-ji, established in 1334 in Kamakura, is known as the Bamboo Temple. It’s located about an hour south of Tokyo. This forest of about 2,000 Moso Bamboo is famous with tourists and well worth the trip. I was there for a quick visit, when I went to Hokoku-ji and two other temples in Kamakura back in 2014. It’s in stark contrast to the glittering and modern Tokyo.
I shot this with my smallest HDR setup, the Pentax Q7 with the Pentax 08 wide-angle zoom. As usual, I shot it on tripod and combined three images in my usual style.
