A Tourist Admires the Golden Gate – San Francisco, California

There’s a double meaning in the title. I think most will assume I’m referring to the bride, which I can be, but the strait, of which the bridge spans, is actually called the Golden Gate. It’s formed by the San Francisco Peninsula to the south and the Marin Peninsula to the north. I took this picture from the San Francisco side.

I have a more artistic photo of the bridge, but I wanted to create a wide-angle Cinematic during my most recent visit to San Fransisco. It’s a wonderful area to visit and the nearby Presidio grounds makes it a green oasis in a densely packed city.

I’ve never shot the bridge from this area before, opting to shoot either from lower below or from the other side. It’s certainly a nice view of what would become the future Starfleet Academy.
