For my last post in this series, from the Four X Five Photo Fest, I feature Eli Reed. He was the keynote speaker and closed out the event. Mr. Reed is a famous Magnum photographer and is a Professor in the School of Journalism at the University of Texas at Austin.

I’ve met him several times. At least once at Precision Camera, at a small gallery showing and I was even at a small dinner get together with him, once. I’m pretty sure he doesn’t know my name, but he recognizes my face.

I’m in no position to critique his work, of course, other than to say that I’m most drawn to his earlier black and white images. He is known for street photography and candids of everyday life. The kind of stuff that I really like.
