You might remember my Sunshine Series I presented several days ago. Here’s one more that I shot, this time in downtown Austin. Republic Square is one of the original downtown Squares, and it was recently renovated. I was pleasantly surprised to see an art installation that was probably added after the COVID-19 pandemic started.
I’m in the midst of testing my newest used camera, the 7-year-old Panasonic GM1. It’s my first Panasonic micro 4/3 system. This is a faux-sunshine courtesy of an in-camera JPEG effect. Unlike most in-camera filters, I like this one, especially when used creatively.
The fake sunshine adds even more positivity to an already uplifting photograph of community art. And, who can’t use a little more uplift these days?
