I’m in the park again. The same place that I tested the Fuji A900 and the Panasonic GM1 that I featured back in June. This time I’m here with the Canon G1X Mark II.
I was born and raised in New York City and lived in urban areas for most of my life. Maybe that’s the reason I see and appreciate the man-made more than nature. It’s not that I don’t think nature is beautiful. It is. I just like to take it in moderation, rather than the raw, untamed version. I prefer natured tamed by man.
I suppose parks are a real happy medium. It will take some time for me to see optimal compositions, though I think I’m getting better. I’ve visited some parks on occasion during this pandemic, which allowed me to craft this shot. An idyllic reflection that almost looks abstract.
