I jumped at the chance to make some studio portraits in November. It was 8 months since I’ve done so. And, while I’ve created a few environmental portraits in downtown Austin. Shooting a model in a studio setting has a very different vibe. Luckily, Precision Camera and Fujifilm held an event that gave me this opportunity.
I’ll talk more about the event tomorrow. But for today, I wanted to introduce Morgan. You will see a lot of her over these next several posts. I also got to play with some new hardware that I’ve never used — always fun. Both Precision and Fuji run a tight ship, and many precautions were taken to be COVID safe. Everyone, except the model, wore face masks. Each photographer shot separately, and the numbers were kept small and distanced.
I used my Fujifilm GFX 50R with the GF63mm lens for this photo. I’ve shot often with the GF50mm that it was nice to finally use my other Fuji GF lens.

Great portrait!
